Contact local salvage yards. Most any clunker whether it is running or not is worth something. If your car is still running, then it is worth more than one that is not. Search online for local salvage yards and make contact. Get a price for your car and learn how much it will cost you to have it towed or driven away.
The only time that I had ever seen a rattlesnake was when I was six years old. I thought it was interesting, almost getting to it before my favorite uncle Hugh, who I was visiting, drew his pistol, shooting it's head off. I really didn't want to see any. Robert, though, had learned all about them in the Boy Scouts handbook. We stopped to cut two, four-foot long, branches with a Y at the end. Robert said, "If we see any rattlers, we'll pin them down to the ground with our sticks. They can't bite you if you push the Y stick down on their back, just behind the head." My '78 VW Rabbit's window handle broke and I snagged one off of a junker for just a few bucks. Still, if you are looking for a radiator, engine, exhaust stuff, or anything else that actually runs, you risk that the part will fail soon after you place it in your car. Naturally, the price you pay through the junkyard should be the lowest price going.

Why is the availability and prices better online? The biggest reason is store competition. There are thousands of different stores online that give you the ability of buying auto parts online. All of the stores that you would locally buy parts from have give you the ability of buying auto parts online. They offer all the parts that you would find in the brick and mortar store plus everything that the organization would offer. Then there are the internet auto parts warehouses where they offer many brands and carry almost anything that you could bolt onto your car. Then there are specialty stores that offer parts for specific reasons or specific cars that that are a little harder to get or more uncommon.
Truthfully, used car parts will save you money. Obviously it is cheaper than buying brand new car parts, but do you think you'll be getting the same quality? That is something you should be concerned about. Fortunately, most auto parts recyclers will offer a warranty with their parts. They also have a full database which makes it much easier, and quicker to locate parts than at a dealership. Even if pick your part west don't have the part you need, they can get it to you pretty quickly.
